FAQ – Cash For Car Removal Companies Melbourne Australia

How will my car get picked up?

If you accept our cash offer and book your free car removal, we will send our tow truck to collect the vehicle. We ask that you have the car parked in an easy-to-access spot such as your driveway. Our team will arrive to load up the vehicle onto our tow truck and we’ll be off with it, all in 30 minutes or less in most cases!

Can I reschedule a pick-up time?

If you have to reschedule due to unavoidable circumstances, we understand and will do our best to accommodate you.  Of course, we do request that you let us know well in advance (at least a day or two in advance) if you want to reschedule so we can plan our schedule accordingly.

How will you assess the value of my vehicle?

Our car valuation process is honest and straightforward. We base our quotes on tangible factors such as the make, model and condition of the vehicle. We request that you provide us with a detailed vehicle description when you call us for a quote. This will help us provide you with a fair cash quote for the vehicle. Rest assured our quotes are always in line with the worth of the vehicle.

Will I get more money if I deliver the car?

While we’re happy to offer free car removals, if you opt to bring the vehicle to us, you can fetch an additional $50 or so for saving us a tow trip! If your car is in good working condition and you’ve got the time to drive it over to us, get in touch with us to let us know when you’re planning to drop it off so we can be ready to serve you.

Do you collect vehicles that have no wheels?

Yes, we do! We’ll send out our tow truck to load and transport the vehicle to our yard, so whether your car is without wheels, missing other parts, badly damaged or has been written off, we’ll be happy to collect them all the same.

What to do with my car insurance when selling my car?

It is recommended that you hold off cancelling the car insurance until after you’ve sold the car. This is because not having insurance, even for a few days, means you’re leaving yourself vulnerable to many risks (car getting stolen, car getting in an accident). If you plan to buy a new car right after selling your old one, you might be able to simply transfer your insurance to the new vehicle. Many insurance providers let you update your policy within 14 days of getting your new vehicle. Of course, the best course of action is to check with your insurance provider and get their recommendation on how to proceed.

I have taken parts of my car? Will you still buy it with missing parts?

Yes, we will still buy your car even if you’ve dismantled it for parts. Of course, missing parts will affect the value of the vehicle. Let us know which parts you’ve taken off and we’ll be able to provide you with a car valuation accordingly.

My car has an LPG System, can you still collect it?

Yes, at Pro Car Removal, we accept cars that have been fitted with an LPG system. So, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have a car that has an LPG system.

Can you remove more than 1 car at a time?

Yes, we can. Whether you have one, two or a fleet of vehicles to get rid of, we have the resources to handle the removal. Let us know how many vehicles you have for sale and we’ll send our tow trucks and enough manpower to load and transport the vehicles quickly and efficiently.

Can I sell my car without a roadworthy certificate (RWC)?

Yes, in Victoria it is legal to sell your used car without an RWC to a licensed auto trader. All you need to do is remove the license plates and return them to VicRoads before the sale of the vehicle.
